Local Rules

OUT OF BOUNDS – Rule 27

  • As defined by white stakes and/or adjoining white lines.
  • Beyond any fence or wall defining the boundary of the course.
  • Internal Out of Bounds:
    1. Hole No. 1: Treatment Plant short and right of the green.
    2. Hole No. 4: Right of the fairway as demarcated by White Stakes and/or White Lines.
    3. Hole No. 6: Left of Tower as demarcated by White Stakes and/or White Lines
    4. Hole No. 15: Right of the lateral water hazard is Out of Bounds up to the White Tee of 16th hole as demarcated by White Stakes and/or White Lines.
    5. Hole No. 16: Right of the lateral water hazard is Out of Bounds.

WATER HAZARDS – Rule 26

  • Water Hazards are defined by yellow stakes and/or yellow lines.
  • Lateral Water Hazards are defined by red stakes and/or red lines.
  • Drop Zones, when provided, may be used to take relief under a penalty of one stroke. If more than one Drop Zone is provided, then the player MUST use the Nearest Drop Zone.

ABNORMAL GROUND CONDITIONS – Rule 25

  • All areas marked in white.
  • Ant hills are to be treated as Ground Under Repair, whether marked or unmarked.
  • Old/New Saplings Pits, Flower Beds and Ornamental Shrubs are to be treated as Ground Under Repair.
  • Embedded Ball (Rule 25-2) – “ Through the Green,” a ball that is embedded in its own pitch-mark in the ground, other than sand, may be lifted without penalty, cleaned and dropped as near as possible to where it lay but not nearer the hole. The ball when dropped MUST first strike a part of the course through the green.
  • Grass Cuttings and leaf piles abandoned are not meant for removal. Hence, they are NOT GUR.
  • Drop Zones, when provided, may be used to take free relief from GUR, Transmission Towers and the Gantry area. If more than one Drop Zone is provided, then the player MUST use the Nearest Drop Zone.

OBSTRUCTIONS – RULE 24

Rule 24-1 –Movable Obstructions
  • Lightweight advertising signage boards/display panels except those on the teeing ground.
  • Stones in bunkers are movable obstructions.

Rule 24-2 – Immovable Obstructions
  • All benches, screens, tube wells, pumps, hydrants, sprinkler heads, water pipe connector, tree guards, exposed pipes, cart path/metal roads, concrete steps, drainage covers, irrigation units, shelters, midway huts, electric or telephone poles, yardage markers on the fairways, advertising boards (on the teeing ground) and yardage markers(on the teeing ground).

Poles and Wires (9th / 18th Fairway)
  • If a ball strikes the pole or the wire, the stroke is cancelled and the player MUST play a ball as nearly as possible at the spot from which the original ball was played in accordance with Rule 20-5 (Making Next Stroke from Where Previous Stroke Made). If the ball is not immediately recoverable, another ball may be substituted.

NO RELEF – For Exposed Earthen Pathways.

Stroke Play: 2 strokes.

Match Play: Loss of Hole.
