Steps to become a New Golfer

  1. Before using any facility including Driving Range(s) at any of the two golf courses, a new golfer must fill up and submit Form 1 to his/her respective club office. Form 1 can be collected from the Starter of either course. Once form 1 is processed and approved, the respective club will begin deducting the monthly golf subscription which is ₹2000 (+18% GST).

  2. After Form 1 has been submitted and reasonable amount of proficiency has been achieved through practice and/or training, the golfer must pass the following tests to be conducted on mentioned parameters at either of the courses. Date and time can be fixed with the handicap committee.

    1. Bunker-out Test – Get a minimum 6 out of 10 balls out of the bunker on to the Chipping Green.
    2. Chipping Test - A minimum 6 out of 10 balls must stay on the Chipping Green.
    3. Play holes - Play first four holes (either at Beldih or at Golmuri) where golfer must score 10 over par or better.
  3. After passing the above tests the golfer will be issued Form 2 to be filled and submitted to the Starter. In case the golfer fails the test, he/she can reappear for the test after a minimum gap of 10 days.

  4. After submission of Form 2 the golfer can start playing rounds along with any member golfer who already holds a handicap, and submit his/her physical scorecards to the course starter. Rounds should be played only when the course is free i.e. after 7 AM on weekdays only. In order to get a handicap the player must submit minimum of 5 cards of 18 holes, or 10 cards of 9 holes, or in any combination of 9/18 making a minimum of 90 holes. All scorecards must be duly signed by the accompanying member who already has an official handicap and will act as a Marker.

  5. After submission of cards as explained above, golfer may contact the Handicap Committee for a handicap test. A handicap test will be conducted by evaluating the golfer's performance in minimum 4 holes (Holes 1 - 4 of either of Beldih or Golmuri golf courses). Based on the field evaluation and submitted cards, the committee shall determine whether to allot a handicap or not. If golfer clears the evaluation and is approved for allotment of handicap, he/she will be advised by the committee to deposit his 18-hole golf contribution of ₹ 59,000 at the Golmuri club. Subsequently, a Handicap Index along with course handicaps for both golf courses shall be allotted.
