Local Rules - Beldih Golf Course, effective 1st April 2026

The Local Rules below are in conjunction and in accordance with Rules of Golf as approved by the USGA and The R&A.

1. OUT OF BOUNDS

  • 1.1 Beyond boundary wall/fence of the golf course.
  • 1.2 Area on the right of 8th/17th fairway marked with white stakes / pillars.
  • 1.3 Fenced Grass Nursery left of cart path near 7th/16th green.
  • 1.4 Car Park beyond Drop Gate on the left of 9th/18th fairway demarcated with white line.
  • 1.5 Chipping/Putting Green area left of 9th/18th green enclosed by wire/picket fence.
  • 1.6 Golf Cart Shed.
  • 1.7 Driving Range left of 5th Hole.

2. WATER HAZARDS

  • 2.1 Tank on the right of 4th Hole is Lateral Water Hazard.
  • 2.2 Tank on the right of 5th Hole is Lateral Water Hazard.
  • 2.3 Broken Nallah on the short/left of 5th green near cart path is Lateral Water Hazard.
  • 2.4 Tank behind 5th green is Water Hazard.

3. PENALTY AREAS (Marked/Unmarked)

  • 3.1 Drain behind 7th / 16th green.

4. ABNORMAL GROUND CONDITIONS

  • 4.1 Ant hills may be treated as Ground Under Repair, only if marked.
  • 4.2 Embedded Ball – In the General Playing Area a ball that is embedded in its own pitch-mark may be lifted without penalty, cleaned and dropped as near as possible to where it lay but not nearer the hole. The ball when dropped MUST first strike a part of the General Playing Area and stay in the General Playing Area.
  • 4.3 Grass Cuttings and leaf piles abandoned in the rough/jungle which are not meant for removal are NOT GURs.
  • 4.4 Grass cuttings, heap of dry leaves accumulated and kept in the closely mown area, meant for removal is GUR and free drop may be taken within 1 (One) club length from the nearest point of relief.
  • 4.5 Open earthen pathways are not GUR and no free relief is permissible.

5. OBSTRUCTIONS

  • 5.1 Lightweight advertising signage boards/display panels except those on the teeing ground. These are movable obstructions and can be removed.
  • 5.2 Stones in bunkers are movable obstructions and may be removed.
  • 5.3 In the General Playing Area, all benches, screens, tube wells, pumps, hydrants, sprinkler heads, water pipe connector, exposed pipes, drainage covers, irrigation units, irrigation valves, shelters, poles, yardage markers on the fairways, bridges, tee signage, “Use Me”, “Sand Pits”, open catch basins, advertising boards (on the teeing ground) and yardage markers (on the teeing ground). Relief of 1 (One) club length from the nearest point of relief may be taken.

6. ELECTRICAL POLES/WIRES

  • 6.1 If a ball hits any electrical pole with or without wires, or any wire, the stroke must be cancelled and replayed from as close to the spot from where the previous shot was played, without penalty.

7. RELIEFS AVAILABLE

  • 7.1 Thin trenches, to prevent ingress of crab grass, around all the greens are free drop. The ball may be dropped at the closest point of relief, not closer to the hole.
  • 7.2 Monsoon drains (marked/unmarked) in the closely mown area (fairways only) are free drops on holes 1st, 2nd, 4th, 7th & the 8th. Relief may be taken within 1 (One) club length from the nearest point of relief but not closer to hole.
  • 7.3 Relief is available from all paved cart paths. Ball may be dropped within 1 (One) club length from the nearest point of relief, but not closer to the hole.
  • 7.4 Transformer room area left of 8th / 17th green is GUR. Relief may be taken by using Drop Zone next to 18th Tee.
  • 7.5 Nursery on the left of 9th/18th hole is compulsory GUR. Player must take relief within 1 (One) club from the nearest point of relief.
  • 7.6 On the 9th / 18th hole entire area beginning from the mound in the front (marked) till the road is GUR. Player has the option of playing his next shot as it lies OR play his next shot from the Drop Zone provided on the mound. In case the player does not find his ball within the stipulated time of 3 minutes, he can still play his next shot from the DZ without penalty.
  • 7.7 TAR road running across 9th/18th fairway. Player may take relief within 1 (One) club from the nearest point of relief but not closer to the hole.

8. CHIPPING/PUTTING AREA

  • 8.1 There is no relief for a ball goes near the net protecting the Chipping Green. Player must play the ball as it lies OR take relief of 2 (Two) club length from the nearest point of relief, but not closer to the hole, with a penalty of 1 (One) stroke.

9. PACE OF PLAY

  • 9.1 It is mandatory to give a pass to the group at the back if it is being held-up for more than 2 (Two) holes consequently, provided group in front is 1 (One) next clear hole ahead.
  • 9.2 Max. time permitted for ball search is 3 (Three) minutes.
